The family is a place of affection, but also of different forms of psychopathology. The changes that the family institution has undergone in recent years have seen the shaping of new forms of mental disorder.

Children and adolescents, as well as adults, are subject to new forms of symptomatology. The socio-familiar context has undergone profound changes that are affecting the development of psychic functioning and that require mental health professionals to reflect clinically to deal with these discomforts.
